Admissions + Fees
Rainbow Pre-school offers part-time pre-school education for children aged two to school age. We offer 10 sessions (subject to availability) Monday to Friday. These may be a mixture of morning and afternoon sessions or a full day from 8.30am until 3.30pm.
The Pre-school offers a waiting list and invites the “next on the list” when a place becomes available. We recommend registering with us as early as possible.
Morning session: 8.30am - 11.30am
Afternoon Session:12.30 - 3.30pm
Lunch: 11.30 - 12.30pm

Full day - 9.00am - 3.00pm
Full day - (15 hour Working Families Free entitlement) : 8:30am - 3:30pm
Full day - (30 hour Working Families Free Entitlement): 8.30am - 3.30pm
Opening Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm
(Any additional hours outside of entitlement will incur a charge - Please contact us for more information)
We are part of the Government Scheme for providing Free Entitlement places for early education and care.
This is for a maximum of 15 or 30 hours per week over a minimum of 38 weeks per year. (Subject to eligibility)
You may be able to receive 2 year old funding if the family meet certain eligibility criteria.

The majority of children will enter Rainbow Preschool at the beginning of the Autumn Term although if there are spaces available children are admitted at January and (subject to availability) April. Our primary waiting list is arranged in birth order on a first come first served basis.
All 3 and 4 year olds and some 2 year olds are entitled to a free part time education place. In order to find out the criteria for 2 year old funding please go to the West Sussex County Council website. For both age groups this entitles eligible children to 15 hours of free education for 38 weeks per year.
Please note:
Children are only covered by our insurance during normal opening hours. We do no accept responsibility at any other time.
Fees are payable monthly. Prompt payment is appreciated to keep running costs down and aid effective administration. Fees have to be charged as usual during periods of absence.
You must inform us 4 weeks in advance of any changes or if a child is leaving us.
