Admission Rainbow Pre-school offers part-time pre-school education for children aged two and a half to school age. We offer 5 sessions (subject to availability) Monday to Friday. These may be a mixture of morning and afternoon sessions. The Pre-school offers a waiting list and invites the “next on the list” when a place becomes available. Session Times Rainbow Pre-School will offer the government’s Flexible 15 scheme from September 2010. The session times reflect the government’s requirements for this Scheme. As part of the Scheme, 15 hours of funded childcare is available for children aged 3 and 4. It becomes effective from the term after your child has turned 3 years old. Once your child has come of age, he/she will have access to a maximum of 15 hours worth of government funding each week. Where a child attends more than 15 hours per week, parents in receipt of the funding will be charged for the extra hours. Any additional hours will be charged at an hourly rate. Please note that the total of 15 funded hours can be split over a maximum of two providers (but a total of 15 hours per child cannot be exceeded).
